Onam Celebration at TWSI

30 - August - 2025

Every face is made more charming by the Onam festival, and this year’s celebration at The White School International (TWSI) was stunning and lively as usual. Teachers, non-teaching staff, and students united in celebration, fostering a culture of tradition, laughter, and camaraderie.

The students’ creation of a vegetable pookalam (Carpet), which featured vibrant and environmentally friendly floral patterns made from vegetables, was one of the day’s highlights. With cultural events, traditional music, and dance, the campus came to life and captured the spirit of Kerala’s most cherished celebration. The tug-of-war, which encouraged teamwork, enjoyment, and healthy competition between students and staff, added to the excitement. Such festivities are more than just celebrations at TWSI, the first school in Kerala offering IB, EDEXCEL and CBSE syllabi; they are chances for hands-on learning. Students can learn the values of cooperation and unity, connect with Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, and enjoy the joy of celebrating as a community through school events like Onam.

More than just a gathering, TWSI’s Onam celebration served as a vibrant reminder of tradition, a uniting event, and a testament to the school’s dedication to fostering well-rounded individuals through a blend of academics and cultural education. Check our News & Events section for more updates.
