Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary Visit

Students from The White School International (TWSI) embarked on an enriching field trip to the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, located approximately 19 km from Kozhikode city. This excursion provided students with firsthand exposure to the sanctuary’s diverse avian population, including over 100 species of native birds and about 60 varieties of migratory birds such as terns, gulls, herons, and sandpipers.The visit aimed to deepen students’ understanding of wildlife conservation and the importance of preserving natural habitats. Activities during the trip included guided nature walks and birdwatching sessions, allowing students to observe the birds in their natural environment and learn about the sanctuary’s ecosystem.This field trip aligns with TWSI’s commitment to holistic education, integrating real-world experiences to complement classroom learning and foster environmental awareness among students.
